Action on Rivers

“By documenting pollution,
we have forced Southern Water
to take action.”

Making Ripples

River health is a key priority for Christina. She is a co-founder and volunteer coordinator of Project Ripple Effect, a growing citizen science water quality initiative. Project Ripple Effect was set up in 2023, in partnership with the University of Sussex. Volunteers regularly test various sites along the Upper Medway river. Ripple has demonstrated that resilience can be fostered when people who care come together.

Project Ripple Effect

Join Christina and the Ripple Project in monitoring river water health and biodiversity – a collaboration between Friends of the River Medway, University of Sussex and Wealden District Council.

Email your MP to demand action for clean water

A new water law is coming. Soon, MPs will decide whether to finally clean up our rivers, lakes and seas − or let toxic pollution continue unchecked.
